Project REGIOCLIMA "Regional Cooperation for Adaptation to Climate Change"

Project REGIOCLIMA "Regional Cooperation for Adaptation to Climate Change" is funded under the INTERREG IV C program of the EC.
It has a duration of 36 months - from 2008 to 2011 and has a budget of 1 999 970 €.

RAPIV is a partner in a consortium, together with the Larnaka District Development Agency - Cyprus, which is also a leading partner, Venice Regional Administration - Italy, Public Foundation of the European Region of Valencia - Spain, Estonian Maritime Institute, Tartu University - Estonia, Self-governing region Bratislava - Slovak Republic, Province of Oban and de L'Etolo - France, Region Crete - Greece.

The aim of the project is to change the process of adaptation to new climate conditions by minimizing the risks of damage and exploring new opportunities arising from climate change. As a result of the implementation of the project, 3 regional strategies for adaptation to climate change have been prepared, united in a European strategy for adaptation to climate change.
