TestFarms aims to connect start-ups and individuals who want to test and validate their innovative agricultural products or services with farmers and primary food processing machinery manufacturers who want to learn about the latest innovations in agritech. The tests give a reliable answer to the demand of the target users and suggest possible improvements. EIT Food is looking for people and start-ups with prototype agricultural solutions that can make the daily work of farmers easier, faster and more sustainable.

Startups can count on a grant of 4,000 euros to conduct the testing. For the past 4 years, the program has helped to test more than 65 innovative solutions.

The following are eligible:

 

- Companies or individuals registered no more than 5 years before the application deadline;

 

- Have not received more than €60,000 in EIT Food funding in 2022.

 

- Have developed an innovative solution in agriculture/livestock/processing of primary products, having at least a prototype ready for testing in a real environment.

 

- Work in one of the six directions of EIT Food; alternative proteins, sustainable agriculture, sustainable aquaculture, targeted nutrition, digital traceability, circular food systems

 

- Have not participated in previous editions of TestFarms.

 

- Have not participated in EIT Food's RisingFoodStars.
