The event gathered nearly 100 participants from various European countries and institutions engaged in topics related to gender equality, green and digital transition, and sustainable regional development.

Main focus of the session

The session showcased three European projects that support women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment:

• WE.Circular – presented by Ralitsa Zhekova, Director of RAPIV, focusing on the creation of policies and tools to support women entrepreneurs in the Danube Region.

• GRANDIS – presented by Mónika Alíz Mészáros (South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency), focusing on policy solutions for the twin transition of women-led SMEs.

• Developing Women Empowerment Models in Manufacturing Industry – presented by İrem Uzun (UNDP), promoting women’s participation in the manufacturing sector and STEM fields through gender-responsive transformation models.

The session was moderated by Kısmet Deniz Çiftçi (UNDP) and was marked by a high level of engagement from participants..
