The project is implemented by 7 organizations, lead partner - Leartibai Foundation (Spain), and Basque Energy Agency (Spain), Energikontor Sydost (Sweden), Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovations - Varna (Bulgaria), Marshal's Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship (Poland), North-East Regional Development Agency (Romania), Association for Environment and Safety in Aquitaine (France). Assosiated strategic partners are Region Blekinge (Sweden) and Municipality of Beloslav (Bulgaria).

The project overall objective is to improve regional and national policies increasing the share of energy from renewable sources in rural areas to better inform local consumers, empower selfconsumers to generate, store, consume and sell renewable electricity without facing disproportionate burdens.

As a result of this, the project aims to allow local communities to get involved and help developing specific strategies to improve the acceptance and deployment of renewable energy, thus unlocking the potential that exists in rural areas.

During the meeting was definded the framework for project implementation and management and the schedule for the forthcoming months was discussed.
