INSIGHT: Partners meeting in Vigo, Spain On 15–16 April 2026, the INSIGHT project consortium gathered in Vigo, Spain, for a two-day partner meeting hosted by CTAG. The meeting provided an opportunity for the project partners to work together intensively, review progress and plan the next steps. It marked an important milestone in aligning activities across the consortium and defining concrete actions under the different work packages.
During the first day, participants discussed key topics related to project management and quality implementation, stakeholder mobilisation and engagement, as well as organisational change to support the implementation of the principles of the Charter for Researchers. Particular attention was also given to the development and operation of a pilot talent ecosystem aimed at strengthening connections between researchers, organisations, employers and other actors within the innovation ecosystem.
As part of the programme, the partners had the opportunity to visit CTAG’s facilities and learn more about the pilot activities implemented by the host organisation. These visits provided valuable insights into the practical dimension of the project and its potential to support the development of more sustainable and effective approaches to researchers’ career development.
On the second day, discussions focused on activities related to training, competence development and career support for researchers, as well as communication, dissemination and the future exploitation of project results. The sessions enabled partners to exchange perspectives, clarify upcoming tasks and strengthen their shared understanding of INSIGHT’s objectives and expected impact.
As a project partner, RAPIV presented its concept for engaging stakeholders in INSIGHT activities. The concept focuses on the active involvement of representatives of different target groups, including researchers, research and educational organisations, businesses, public institutions and other actors within regional innovation ecosystems. Its aim is to create opportunities for meaningful dialogue, exchange of experience and the joint identification of needs, challenges and opportunities related to the development of research careers.
The concept presented by RAPIV will play an important role in the project’s upcoming activities by connecting INSIGHT’s strategic objectives with the actual needs of stakeholders. Through the planned engagement formats, the project will contribute to a better understanding of the barriers faced by researchers, promote the implementation of the principles of the Charter for Researchers, and support the development of more relevant training activities, services and pilot solutions.
The partner meeting in Vigo also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation within the consortium. Face-to-face meetings, working discussions and exchanges among partners helped bring greater clarity to the upcoming activities and reinforce the consortium’s shared commitment to achieving the project objectives and results.
Following two productive days of collaboration, the consortium moves forward with renewed momentum, a clearer vision and a shared confidence that, by bringing together expertise, experience and joint efforts, INSIGHT can contribute to meaningful change in support of researchers and organisations working to strengthen Europe’s research and innovation capacity.
